LAMUGINE ( GHANAIAN GINGER DRINK) SIMPLIEST WAY TO MAKE

LAMUGINE is a Ghanaian ginger drink made with cloves ginger and grains of selim. Populary known in the northern region of Ghana. Its usually served at occasions . it also helps cure flu or cold. INGREDIENTS 1. cloves 2. Ginger 3. Grains of selim 4. Sugar| Honey 5. 5 Lemons 6. Dry Pepper 7. Water STEP ONE Heat saucepan with about 2 cups of water on medium heat Remove the ginger skin, Wash your spices ( cloves, dry pepper, ginger) Add the Spices into the water let it boil for about 10 min Leave it to cool for about 5 mins STEP TWO Blend the spices with the water together untill you obtain a smooth texture Sift the mixture add your squeezed Lemon, honey or sugar and stir STEP THREE Pour your mixture ( drink ) in a jar and referigerate it SERVE IT COOL WITH ICE CUBES ENJOY

GHANAIAN WAAKYE RECIPE

Waakye is a ghanaian food made with rice and beans , beans like black eyes peas or red beans You can eat it with chili sauce populary known as SHITO in GHANA INGREDIENTS 1. 2 cups Jasmine white rice 2. 1 cup of Black eye pea 3. Butter 4. Coconut Milk (opitional) 5. Water 6. Dry Millet Leaves 7. Salt 8. Baking powder STEP ONE Heat your pot on medium heat and fill it with 3 cups of water, add Millets leaves with 2 tbsp of salt STEP TWO Boil for 2 minutes then it to cool for about 3 hours for a more reddish colour STEP THREE Soak your beans for an hour, rinse the soaked beans,then add your beans and the millet leave water into your saucepan . Boil for an hour then take out the millet leaves with fork. STEP FOUR Add in 2 tbsp of butter and half cup of coconut milk add in your washed jasmine rice. Cover the saucepan and cook on low heat for about 45 minutes. AND THEN YOUR WAAKYE IS READY . IT CAN BE SERVED WITH SPAGETTI, SALAD,GARRI AND FRIED COW MEAT, FISH OR EGG, WITH CHILLI SAUCE ( SHITTO )
