LAMUGINE ( GHANAIAN GINGER DRINK) SIMPLIEST WAY TO MAKE

LAMUGINE is a Ghanaian ginger drink made with cloves ginger and grains of selim. Populary known in the northern region of Ghana. Its usually served at occasions . it also helps cure flu or cold. INGREDIENTS 1. cloves 2. Ginger 3. Grains of selim 4. Sugar| Honey 5. 5 Lemons 6. Dry Pepper 7. Water STEP ONE Heat saucepan with about 2 cups of water on medium heat Remove the ginger skin, Wash your spices ( cloves, dry pepper, ginger) Add the Spices into the water let it boil for about 10 min Leave it to cool for about 5 mins STEP TWO Blend the spices with the water together untill you obtain a smooth texture Sift the mixture add your squeezed Lemon, honey or sugar and stir STEP THREE Pour your mixture ( drink ) in a jar and referigerate it SERVE IT COOL WITH ICE CUBES ENJOY

PALAVA SAUCE RECIPE

PALAVA SAUCE is a Ghanaian green leave stew,that normally consists of meat,fish. All cooked in one pot, with lush green leave vegetable such as cocoyam leave or spinach. Combo with ground seed populary known in Ghana as AGUSHIE. INGREDIENTS 1. 6 tbsp Palm oil( red oil) 2. 2 pounds of cowmeat 3. 2 onions 4. 4 cloves garlic 5. 4 fresh Tomatoes 5. Fresh Ginger 6. chilli 7. 1 cup bitter melon seeds 8. Spinach or cocoyam leave ( chopped) 9.2 tsp Salts STEP ONE Gather all the ingredients in seperate small bowls. STEP TWO Chop the fresh onions and blend garlic , onions and ginger together in a seperate bowl Place your pot on the stove add 6 tbsp of palm oil, fry the chopped onions for 2 minutes then add your blended garlic onion and ginger for about ten minutes STEP THREE Add chopped fresh tomatoes and chilli powder, add spices ( maggi cube, nutmeg,curry. Wait for 10 minutes. STEP FOUR Mix half cup of agushie powder with water and a bit of salt. Set aside for a few minutes STEP FIVE After the tomates begin to turn brown , pour in the agushie paste without stirring . Cover the steam leave it on low medium heat for 10 minutes. STEP SIX Add in your steamed meat and stir , wait for 2 minutes . Lastly add cocoyam leave or spinach. Allow it to simmer for 10 minutes. This dish could be enjoyed with Rice or Boiled Yam
